Anglo requires highly motivated  commercial graduates to become involved in all  the commercial aspects of  our business covering  financial and management accounting, business planning, project accounting, business improvement., marketing administration, risk management, treasury and taxation, legal and procurement services.. 

The Anglo graduate programme develops commercial  graduates into mine and corporate accountants, marketing support officers,  legal and contracts officers and business improvement officers as a stepping stone to becoming a Financial Controller, Commercial Manager at a mine site or project or a Supply Commodity Manager. The development programme is  challenging and involves placements at our mine-sites in Queensland and New South Wales and our Corporate  Office in Brisbane.  Graduates spend time at more than one location during the period of the programme. Graduates work in a team environment so must be team-players..

We will  provide you with valuable learning experiences throughout this programme with an emphasis on developing a broad understanding of the business right through from the mining and production side (both underground and open-cut), to marketing our product to customers, addressing all the commercial requisites to support  effective running of the business.  

Depending on your discipline, experiences Commercial graduates will gain during your development programme will include: 

•         Financial and management accounting including completion of company and business unit accounts and KPI reporting;

•         Cost accounting for mines and projects,

•         Cash flow management and analysis;

•         Tax return preparation for G.S.T, F.B.T and company tax

•         Contract negotiation and management with suppliers;

•         Risk management and audit

•         Business planning and business improvement,

•         Marketing logistics and administration,

•         Supervisory training, where applicable;

•         Safety leadership training;

•         Accounting graduates will be mentored through either the CPA or CA programs.

You will be exposed to the commercial and accounting practices of a large multi-national corporation that operates across the globe.
