Geology/Geotechnical

Geology / Geotechnical

Anglo Coal Australia’s business is built upon the safe exploitation of resources to supply consistent products into domestic and international markets. This requires both a sound understanding of the resources we mine as well as the geological conditions and hazards that may impact upon mining, processing and utilisation of these resources. As part of a Brisbane or site based geological team you will play a central role in providing this understanding. You will be involved in undertaking the exploration activities and resource evaluation that forms the basis of mine planning and scheduling as well as the providing operational geology services to the mining operation where you will be primarily focussed on the recognition, prediction and mitigation of geological hazards as well as the prediction and monitoring of production quality.  We will provide opportunities, development training and mentoring to develop the key competencies you will require to perform your role and you can expect to participate in the following in the first two years of your time with Anglo Coal Australia:
