Mechanical Engineering

Anglo Coal requires highly motivated Mechanical Engineering Graduates to become involved in the engineering, maintenance and management of our operations. Graduates will gain exposure in both open cut and underground mining environments, enabling them to apply their knowledge to a broad variety of situations.

The Anglo graduate programme develops engineering graduates into experienced project engineering and maintenance practitioners. The experience gained at our operations can lead to project and maintenance engineering, scheduling and planning, and eventually supervisory and maintenance management roles. Other opportunities include business improvement, compliance and reliability engineering, overhaul and new project engineering and management. The development programme is challenging and involves placements at our mine-sites in Queensland and New South Wales and at our Corporate Office in Brisbane.

Graduates spend time at more than one location during the period of the programme. Graduates work in a team environment so must be team-players.

Anglo will provide you with valuable learning experiences throughout this programme with an emphasis on developing a broad understanding of the business right through from the mining and production side (both underground and open-cut), coal processing, marketing and quality requirements to support effective running of the business.

The extensive training and development offered will provide invaluable knowledge and a practical grounding in and across many facets of mechanical engineering. The areas of exposure and training for an Anglo Coal Australia Mechanical Engineering Graduate would include:
